Pumpkin Mousse

Hello this is Nessa :)

So for thanksgiving this year i made a pumpkin mousse dessert. I found the recipe online but I can't remember the website :P
  This is all you will need ...
         3 ounces shaved dark chocolate
         1 teaspoon powdered gelatin
         2 tablespoon dark rum
         1/4th teaspoon salt
         1/4th teaspoon ground nutmeg
         1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
         1 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
         2 teaspoons vanilla extract
         15 ounce canned pumpkin
         3 1/2 cup heavy cream
         1 cup suger
         5 large egg yolks

First fill a large bowl halfway with ice water and set aside. Next whisk the egg yolks then add to a sauce pan with 3/4 & 2 tablespoon sugar and 3/4 cup heavy cream. Stir it while it heats on medium-low heat, stir till it thickens, this took about 10 mins. I next but it in another bowl and set on the ice water.

In another bowl mix together pumpkin, vanilla, the spices, salt then add to the egg mix (once the egg mix is cooled)
In a separate small bowl stir 1 tablespoon of rum with 1 teaspoon gelatin together. then quickly add a heated 1 tablespoon of rum to the mix until its dissolved then immediately whisk.
Beat 1/2 cup heavy cream to stiff peaks then fold it into the pumpkin mix. place the mix into a shallow dish and place into the fridge over night

The next day beat the remaining heavy cream and the sugar to stiff peaks. layer the heavy cream with the pumpkin and on top sprinkle the chocolate shavings :)
For the chocolate shavings i took a bar of chocolate (ghirardelli milk chocolate) and just shaved that

and ..tada :)
